Five ways to ask well#
- Bring the material — Paste the original text, files and numbers, and it won't make things up.
- Say the shape — As a table, as a checklist, in Excel, with the file name ….
- Put a name in the first sentence — Put the customer or event name first, like "Moonlight Coffee …", and conversations split well and are easy to find in the list.
- Split it up — Organize → check → file → share. It's easier to correct course along the way.
- Let the approval card guard risky work — Right before paying, sending or deleting, the browser agent always stops with an approval card. Just say what to do and click Approve — don't add "ask me first" (Chapter 6).
Questions that come up as you follow along, such as installation, cost and security, are gathered in the next chapter (Chapter 28).
Check questions
- Seoyeon Park receives the quote team lead Jinyoung Jang shared and wants her own assistant to review it. Where does she click?
- In an official process, where does a step that's become your turn appear, and in what shape?
- When you ask the assistant to pay for something on a site, do you need to add "get my approval first" to your instructions?
Answer
- In Seoyeon Park's account, she clicks Messages at the top right › Inbox, then Continue working on that share (Chapter 14).
- It appears on Home as a Decision or Input card. If there are choices, as with approvals, she can choose right on the card (Chapter 18).
- No. Right before paying, sending or deleting, the agent always stops with an approval card and goes ahead only when you click Approve. With "get my approval" in the instructions, it sometimes stops short of the payment screen and the task is left as Needs confirmation, so just say what to do (number 5 of the five ways to ask well, Chapter 6).
